    My battery died during my flight and my plane went into battery fail-safe mode. Do I have to start my mission over?

    A

    No! The PrecisionFlight mission resume feature will allow you to pick up right where you left off.

  • Q

    My control surfaces did not move during Pre-Flight sequence. Is this an issue?

    A

    Yes, all control surfaces should move in full range during the pre-flight checks. Make sure your RC controller was powered during pre-flight and run through the process again.

    The plane won’t advance pass the RC calibration screen, what do I do?

    A

    Making sure your Futaba Controller is on and charged; check the trim switches around the gimbals to make sure they are centered on the display at the bottom of the screen.

    Why do I keep getting low communication signal warnings while the plane is right next to my ground station?

    A

    Ensure the antenna of the UAV is extended to point directly up into the air. Move your ground station communication box to a more open area. Make sure there are no overhead obstructions nearby.

    When I power on my plane why does is the UAV location icon in the wrong place?

    A

    Once you power the Lancaster it may take some time for the GPS unit to lock onto satellites for correct location information of your UAV. Wait a little longer for the Lancaster to acquire GPS lock and a valid location should display within PrecisionFlight. If problem persists, try getting a GPS lock at a different location there could be interference in this area.

    Can I fly my Lancaster without a payload?

    A

    No, never fly without a Payload installed in the Lancaster payload bay. The center of gravity and structural integrity of the UAV will be compromised if this is done.

  • Q

    I cannot see the satellite images of the field I’m flying today, why is that?

    A

    If you don’t have access to an internet connection in the field, it is important you use the Cache Management tool inside the PrecisionFlight application to save your selected flying field.
