The Technological Landscape for Application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Specialty Crops

The Technology Workshop is the first in a series of meetings held as part of a USDA-NIFA Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI) planning grant titled “Harnessing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in Fruit, Vegetable, and Nut Crops.”

It is focused on critically assessing state-of-the-art UAV technologies. The workshop will bring together experts in the technology arena (from industry and academia) along with selected agricultural stakeholders to review UAV technologies with a focus on novel applications in specialty crops.

Members of the PrecisionHawk team will be in attendance to discuss both the UAV platform and a wide array of high fidelity sensors.
